The psychotherapy offering at Journey Within is a warm, non-judgemental and compassionate space to unpack, reflect and heal.
In a time when we are mostly outward looking, living in the chaos (or numbness) of our heads and absent from the present moment; the offering is to support your journey to go within.
My approach to psychotherapy integrates talking therapies with bringing an awareness to what is going on in the physical body (the place where emotions are held and can be repressed). Using the body as a resource for release, regulation and resolution through mindful breath, movement, visualisation and meaning-making.
Working in this integrated way can be a powerful and effective method of making sense of the issues you are bringing, bringing awareness to your vulnerabilities, highlight your strengths and building a tool kit to support you towards living with full authenticity and presence in your life.
As a therapist I commit to bringing my open, compassionate and present self to each session. I hold a collaborative and non judgemental space led by your needs to support you through your work.
At the end of psychotherapy at Journey Within, I hope you leave with:
Renewed trust in your self & your inner voice
Increased self acceptance & compassion
Greater awareness of your body and its sensations
Greater understanding & awareness of your experiences
Greater capacity to express yourself & your needs authentically
Healthier and deeper relationship with yourself & others
